Introduction
Daisy Kwong is a Hong Kong-based graphic designer and illustrator who graduated from the visual arts program at the School of Communication, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2023. She specializes in using hand-drawn watercolors and wooden colors to create unique and personalized designs that capture the essence of social attitudes and characteristics.
Her artistic inspiration comes from the daily interactions between people and the current social environment. Through her work, she aims to challenge viewers' perspectives and increase their empathy towards others, by highlighting the importance of human interaction and fostering a sense of community.
In 2020, Daisy joined the STEM education organization, APLUZA Academy, as a graphic designer. In just three years, she was promoted to Creative Director and participated in numerous large-scale design projects for clients such as Ritz Carlton, YMCA, and HKJC. Daisy also collaborated with over 20 primary and secondary schools to Design STEAM education programs.
Daisy's designs extend beyond just graphic design as she creates a variety of materials including posters, storybooks, and brochures. In June 2022, she partnered with APLUZA Academy's Anson Sham to launch Hong Kong's first STEM comic game book. The book is aimed at children aged 3-12 and combines education and entertainment to help children learn STEM topics in a fun and interactive way. The book has received recognition as the "Best Children's STEM Reading Material" and has been a top-ranking book in several bookstores.
