Introduction
My name is Derek King Man Tou,
creativity has always been my greatest passion in life, I have experience in teaching art for over 20 years. Students from a variety of age groups such as preschool, elementary aged children, youth, adults and seniors. I have taught over 800 students, founded two art studios (artifystudio.org) and regularly provided art therapy services to over 10 social services and community centres. Recently, I hosted a 8-sessions course on “Passion to Teach Creatively”, in which I led 20 students to explore about the potential of creative education in Hong Kong.
I am a trilingual speaker who is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, this is an aide to my teaching experience in reaching out to a wider span of students’ cultures.
