Introduction
During my undergraduate studies, I specialized in urban planning, urban design, and placemaking, complemented by a minor in Urban Studies. This interdisciplinary academic background allowed me to explore how spatial design, community engagement, and cultural narratives intersect within the urban environment. My final-year research project on placemaking strategies in Hong Kong was recognized with a Best Final-Year Project Award. As part of this project, I led a community tour programme that engaged local stakeholders in meaningful discussions about urban placemaking and public space, fostering dialogue and gathering valuable insights for the research. In addition, I earned the Open Data Hackathon 2023 Award for developing a real-time hazard warning system using open data, and received the Global Learning Award to conduct an independent research trip on sustainable urban development in Copenhagen. These experiences strengthened my skills in spatial analysis, public space research, and creative problem-solving within both local and international contexts.
