Qiuyi Zhong
Choreographer
Based in Hong Kong and Guangzhou
Qiuyi Zhong is currently a guest lecturer in the Dance Choreography program at Xinghai Conservatory of Music and serves as a choreographer for the Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe.
Qiuyi began her dance journey at the age of 7, initially studying ballet before transitioning to modern dance and choreography. She graduated with a BA in Dance Choreography from the Shanghai Theatre Academy in 2019. In 2021, she pursued postgraduate studies in Community Dance at the University of Auckland under the mentorship of Sarah Fall. In 2024, Qiuyi earned an MFA in Dance Choreography from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
Her work has gained international attention, including her piece Wandering into the Heart, which was featured at the 2018 Kazakhstan International Ballet Art Festival to critical acclaim.
