David Wong is a Year 4 Computer Engineering student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a profound passion and talent for choral music and has studied under the tutelage of Mr. Apollo Wong.
Wong has been active in participating in Schools Music Festival since his secondary school vocal and choral trainings and has achieved outstanding results. He has also focused on choral conducting and has participated in local and overseas choral conducting workshops to learn under famous choral masters.
Wong’s extensive choral experience includes performing with several prestigious ensembles and choirs includes the CU Chorus, Festive Chamber Choir, HK Phil Chorus, Illumino Singers, Learners Chorus, Luff Chorus and Singfest
His current achievements with The Mad Singers are particularly notable, including winning the Male Choir Champion, Youth Choir Champion, Contemporary Music Gold Award, and Grand Prix Champion at the Taiwan International Choral Competition 2023; Choir of the World Award, Best A Cappella Performance, and Champion of D2 - Vocal Ensemble at the 2024 World Youth & Children’s Choir Festival cum 1st Greater Bay Area Choir Festival in Hong Kong; First Place in the “Chamber Choirs” category and a Special Award for Performance of a Song by Bulgarian Composer Georgi Dimitrov at the 42nd International Choral Competition “Prof. Georgi Dimitrov.”
Wong is currently Associate Music Director of Luff Chorus, Rehearsal Conductor of Festive Chamber Choir, bass part leader of CU Chorus, and sings with HK Phil Chorus, and The Mad Singers.
黃天寶是香港中文大學四年級計算機工程學生，他對合唱音樂充滿熱情，並曾師從黃日珩先生學習聲樂。
自中學時期參加校際音樂節以來，黃氏一直積極參與進行聲樂和合唱訓練並取得了優異的成績。他還專注於合唱指揮，並積極參與本地和海外的合唱指揮工作坊，向著名的合唱大師學習。
黃氏活躍於多個音樂團體，包括中文大學合唱團、菁薈雅頌合唱團、香港管弦樂團合唱團、Illumino Singers、學士合唱團、拉扶和聲、聲蜚合唱節。他在瘋之聲的成就尤為顯著，包括在2023年台灣國際合唱比賽中獲得男聲組冠軍、青年組冠軍、當代音樂組金獎和大獎賽總冠軍；在2024 世界青少年合唱節 暨 第一屆大灣區合唱節——香港中獲得世界合唱團大獎、最佳無伴奏合唱大獎和D2組別（聲樂合奏）冠軍；在第42屆「格奧爾基·季米特洛夫教授」國際合唱比賽中獲得「室內合唱團」組別第一名和保加利亞作曲家喬治·季米特洛夫作品表演特別獎。
黃氏目前是拉扶和聲的副音樂總監、菁薈雅頌合唱團的排練指揮、中文大學合唱團的低音部部長，並且與香港管弦樂團合唱團和瘋之聲一起演唱。
